A club trip down the sunny west coast had our team full of smiles and awesome opportunities.  In the end we finished this HUGE tournament, that took place in 7 different pools, with some success. The best part, team bonding and fun water polo.  What more could you ask for!

Team BC Summer of 2014: Summer is a busy time for our talented team members to be branching out of town! Many of our athletes have been playing with Team BC for the 16U and 18U teams. The boys travelled to California for an amazing training camp and tournament. 17U National Team Canada Members Emily Aikema, Paige Bennett and Raigen Mantyka with coach Justin Mitchell attended a grueling week long training camp in Montreal, playing with the best 97-98 girls in the country. After the weeklong Youth Cup Championships tournament where Aikema and Bennett helped Team Manitoba to win the Bronze Medal and Mantyka won the Goalie Throw Accuracy Skills Competition. 16U National Team Canada Members Eric Martel and Reuel D'Souza are off to California to represent their country with the best of the 98-99 players. Players will train on the West Coast until August 15th and then head south. Good luck boys!

2014 US Junior Olympics were held in Stanford, California over the weekend of August 1 to 3. FVWP players Brianna Utas and Devyani McLaren played on American teams at the tournament. Utas teamed up with Seattle Water Polo Club and McLaren played with Set Pink, helping her team to the gold medal. Way to represent girls!

Mini NDPL brings home the banner! A HUGE congratulations to our 15U team for finishing off an amazing season with 21 wins and 3 losses. Players fought hard and secured the gold spot with a win of 15-8 over Calgary Torpedos on June 8th. Final tournament win had Reuel D'Souza named MVP for the league, Richard Laurie names MVP for the tournament and Sam Remfry named to the Allstar team. Alumni at Junior Pan-American Games, Danika Kotylak and Matt Halajian played to win Bronze for both the Jr Women's and Jr Men's Canadian Team. Great polo in Riverside, California where many of our current FVWP players had the opportunity to watch and cheer on team Canada.

The Annual Siesta Tournament was on the weekend of April 4-6. FVWP was represented by 5 teams and did well coming up against some very challenging teams and games. Congrats to all our players and coaches!
